All athletics involve obsessive amounts practice. Keeping the mind clear of doubt and expectations up is not always easy. Imagery and practicing the events in your mind allows the athlete to slow the images down to see the process more clearly and, therefore, make any minor corrections. They may find they want to create, reestablish or improve upon their their efforts in order to maximize their excellence.
