Should you feel that overload frequently causes you to drift into an environmental hypnosis, it is suggested to count yourself out of hypnosis. Counting out consists of counting from 0-5; and with each number you are feeling yourself becoming more awake and aware. At the number 5 you are feeling wide awake and refreshed. Learning to count out of hypnosis is a good tool for someone who gets overloaded frequently.
In contrast, therapeutic hypnosis uses the hyper-suggestability for the benefit of the client. When the client is relaxed, it is possible to offer mutually agreed upon positive suggestions to that client making it easy for the person to create desired behavioral change.
One way of reducing overload is by replacing anxiety with relaxation. Avoiding and reducing overload can be accomplished with as little as one hypnosis session.
